Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before importing from China to Mexico.

The full process takes between 45 and 90 days depending on the product, volume and transport type. Sea freight from China to Mexico takes 25 to 35 days. Air freight takes 5 to 7 days but is significantly more expensive. Add production time (15-45 days), customs clearance (3-7 days) and domestic transport (1-5 days).
The minimum order depends on the supplier and the product. In general, Chinese factories handle MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) from 500 to 5,000 units. For custom products the minimum is usually higher. We help you negotiate the best MOQ for your budget.
The main taxes are: IGI (General Import Tax), which varies from 0% to 35% depending on your product's tariff code; DTA (Customs Processing Fee), generally 0.8% of the customs value; and import VAT at 16% calculated on the taxable base (customs value + IGI + DTA). Some products also pay IEPS (special tax).
Yes. To import into Mexico you need to be registered in the SAT Importer Registry (Padron de Importadores). The process is free and done online with your electronic signature (e.firma). For certain products (textiles, footwear, steel, chemicals) you also need the Specific Sectors Importer Registry. We guide you through the process.
We perform quality inspections at three points: before production (material verification), during manufacturing and before shipment (final inspection). Having direct presence in China means we can intervene before goods leave the factory. If despite inspections there is an issue, we manage the claim directly with the supplier.
We import a wide variety of products — from textiles and electronics to machinery and household goods. However, some products require special permits (COFEPRIS, SEMARNAT, SEDENA) and some are prohibited. During the preparation stage we evaluate whether your product is viable and what regulations apply (NOMs, certifications, etc.).
The basic documents are: active RFC (tax ID), Importer Registry, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading or Air Waybill, Certificate of Origin when applicable, and customs entry (pedimento). We guide you through every document.
The most common method is bank transfer (T/T) in two parts: 30% deposit when confirming the order and 70% before shipment against approved inspection. Letters of credit (L/C) are also used for large orders. We manage international payments and protect you by linking each payment to an approved quality inspection.
